71^st Republic Day celebrations commenced in Jammu on 26 Jan 2020 by paying homage to the martyrs at Balidan Stambh. Hon'ble LG J&K, Shri Girish Chandra Murmu laid wreath at the Eternal Flame of the War Memorial. The event was organized by Tiger Division wherein all ranks of Tiger Division and J&K Police graced the occasion.

            71^th Republic Day celebrations at Maulana Azad Stadium, Jammu commenced with unfurling of the Tri-Colour by Hon'ble LG J&K, Shri Girish Chandra Murmu. Contingents from Army, Central Armed Police Force, different wings of the Jammu & Kashmir Police and students from over 25 Government and private schools, participated in the parade.

            In a testament to the State’s contribution to the defence of India, the Army contingent comprising of soldiers from 5 JAK LI, led by Col RK Sharma impressed one and all with their razor sharp movements. A demonstration under the aegis of the “Tiger Division” of war like equipment followed by a cultural program and motorcycle display by the J&K Police were the key attractions of the celebrations. The event was witnessed by various dignitaries from State Administration and the families and soldiers of Tiger Division.
